Best advice I was ever given. "How much do you think is your head worth?"

I was told similiar 2$ helmet for a 2$ head,

I have read many times that the helmet is designed for one hard head impact irrelevant what it looks like,

Hey Pikey. Nsqared has offered you a crash discount. I would take advantage if I was you. The fact that you have made this post, tells me there is doubt in your mind as to the integrity.

Don't take the risk, get a new one.

The op had a kask, this is fox mate. This thread just jogged my memory.

Maybe it's the old patriotic me coming out, but why go all the way to the U.S. for a helmet ?

Hahaha.......at least we are progressing a little in the assumption and confusion stakes........a lifely ass is always better than a dead horse......although a bit stubborn at times, it still has a kick to it.......proudly ASSiduous.

Hi Vivek B.

Should you need a new helmet, Kask do offer a crash replacement programme, please take your broken helmet to a participating dealer and you will receive a discount on a new helmet.

Many thanks

NSQUARED

my mojito is just over two years old but being white the leather strap has started to peel and looks horrible now.

I enquired about a strap replacement but was advised the agents don't keep this, is this correct and can you get me one?

So what's the thoughts behind this. Do I need to change my helmet after a crash?

Crashed on Saturday and broke my collarbone, my shoulder took all the impact with no injuries to my head. No visible signs of signs of damage on the helmet.

Is there anyway to get the helmet checked properly or do I just change it? It's a Kask Mojito.

I went through a phase where I seemed to crash a lot. My cousin once counted me going over the bars 7 times in 8 kilometres. At that point I didn't replace my helmet everytime. I checked at the end of that ride and there was no visible damage. I wore that helmet for some time after until I finally slid out on a corner and smashed my head against a rock at hakahana, the impact was so hard it made my ears ring and I may or may not have briefly lost consciousness (no one was around to tell me) that cracked my helmet good and proper. I got another after that with better rear protection and since then I seem to crash less. I'm pleased about that since my current helmet cost a bit more. I figure it should be possible to see any major damage on a bicycle helmet but if in doubt its probably best to play it safe. I didn't really but there's no reason you should follow my example.
