Robertson and Paarl Trails MTB

Hi,

I will be visiting Robertson and Paarl next week for work, I want to do a few rides in the area while I am there.

What suggestions do you have for awesome mtb trails in the area?

Plenty gravel road options available in Paarl mountain.

You can just ride there, no fees, great views and... silence. Pick the right day and you'll get some aweome heat training in as well. Those are mostly reserved for Jan/Feb, though... The singles at the bottom of Taalmonument are off limits - you have to pay up at the Taalmonument for them to my knowledge. Think the ones in the "onderbos" (below the tar road) may still be okay, but I'm not taking chances.

 

As for trails - Rhebokskloof and (esp) Welvanpas in Wellington.

Phone van lovern. They have some awesome trails. You can cycle from Robertson to Ashton/Arabella and back on the single track that runs next to the road.
