I've heard rumour of this behaviour before, lets hope its catchy

 

The problem is that a lot of people just expect this. Yes, some shops have some clients who get special service, because they are loyal, never rude, never expect anything extra for nothing. Other people just expect this type of treatment because they have "blessed" the shop with their presence. And they then have the audacity to make a fuss because they were chased out after the shop has closed.

I know that feeling... cleaning the bike on Sat at 13:15... realised there was something wrong with my pedal (the barings had almost seized).
I took it to Complete Cyclist in Bryanston... and lo-and-behold, they swapped it out for another one they had spare ... 2:28 later on Sunday and a very, very happy client!!

If eddy and his chain are suffering from a bit of tension after the incident, then the best remedy I can suggest is to get them both well oiled!

More a lack of tension both before and after the incident.... but he kept kicking the tightener over.....

 

But it did eventually harden up....
