Help build School XC MTB track

I co-ordinate the Jag Riders 'cycling nursey' for kids initiated in Feb 2011. Our mtb track on our school premises in Bonteheuwel has evolved into a pretty fun cross country course. I want to add more like a proper rock garden and some more berms. If you or someone you know could lend me a hand in this regard, please contact me @ 0833794321 Graham. The school is the safest riding environment in a heavily gang-ridden area, hence my focus on improving upon this track

UCT has recently built a specially designed Cross Country course on their land just below Rhodes Memorial. They allow the surrounding schools to race there also. It looks like their cycling club is quite willing to help schools and they might be able to offer advice and perhaps even contribute?  Sorry, I don't know the contact person there, but perhaps the UCT Sports department can let you have the details?

I'm the chairman of the club so thought I would be able to help here!

We are indeed having a league for high school students next year, we'll post more about it in the near future on our FB page. If you want more info now then just pop me a mail at chairman@uctcyclingclub.co.za and I'll help you out!

In terms of advice for the track, contact Sean at TrailTroops, he built our track and is super passionate about being involved in this type of thing. Unfortunately we are a student run club, so we don't carry a lot of disposable cash so aren't currently in a position to contribute financially.

If you have any queries please email me using the same address as above!
