BB30 - next bottom bracket standard?

BB30 as executed by Cannondale seems to work quite well. My hardtail had the BB30, then called Cannondale Si BB and the bearing never required replacing in 3yrs of use in the Netherlands and Wales.

 

 

 

All things considered it, does appear to be the best available design that meets all the criteria
