Durban Moses Mabhida to Umhlanga

Can anybody advise a safe road route between Umhlanga and Moses Mabhida?

North on NMR to the Engen petrol station. pedestrian crossing over Umgeni bridge, keep North past Pick 'n Pay. End of that Right, over M4 then left into Fairway to Virginia airport. left again, 90% around circle then left next to M4, 600m up. Right, past Glenashley Primary. Right (fast), first left to the bottom and last left in a northerly direction on Forest drive and you are there. In short, hug the M4 as close as you can. Plenty riders on the road early in the morning. Many head North along along that route. A few short, puchy climbs. Back the same way via the Bird park and Ushaka and you raked up around 43km.

If you don't find it or don't feel safe trying it out alone for the first time,

Come join East Coast Cycling Club from Suncoast on Saturday. I wont be there but the club will be heading North and will be using a similar route as described above. Rides leave at 5:30.
