Look on the EMBA website, the routes and GPX files are all there. Just remember that you are only entitled to ride this route if you are an EMBA member. If not, buy a permit.

Thanks Monark

They only have GPX files for the green, blue and red routes.

I would like to be able to ride all the way to Holla

And I do have a permit

Thanks Trackz

Did you do those on your own?

What was safety like?

@Lance. All dirt road, mostly on district roads through sugar cane fields, only the odd crossing of tar.

@MTB'r. Yes all on my own. Seemed safe, quiet roads, had no issues.

Unfortunately I only discovered after my holiday that I actually needed a permit when I googled what EMBA stood for.

I just got this reply from EMBA for those who are wondering what it takes to ride on these routes.

"Any time you go onto Tongaat Hullett land a permit is required and adhering to routes and ride times.

There are 3 options.

1. A day permit, there is a list on our website of the outlets.

2. A temporary permit for 6 months (or 3 months) cost R250 (R125)

3 A permanent board, valid to 31 December of the year of issue. R500, and club membership of an affiliated club (list on our website ) photo etc all required."

There are gpx files on the website too.
