COME RIDE FOR FREE

Experience Benoni Country Club MTB Trails for FREE. Just arrive and ride.

Bring your friends and family and experience these magnificent hand cut trails in an urban forest setting.

Maybe you will spot some of our springbok, blesbok, duikers and rabbit or dodge the peacocks and guinea fowl on the gnarly single-track.

Three route choices for the beginner (green), intermediate(yellow) and advanced(red) cyclist ranging in distance from 5km to 14km.

Afterwards, join friends and family at the clubhouse for refreshments and a meal (The wood fired pizzas are awesome).

Gates open at 18h00.

Safe and secure parking.

Directions:

From Jo’burg take the N12 towards Witbank. Pass the Boksburg Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket and the Benoni Lakes on your right. Take the Snake Road off-ramp and turn left at the traffic light. Take first right into Morris Avenue at the traffic light. Continue for approximately 1km along Morris Avenue and you will find the Benoni Country Club on your left.

When Elvis leaves the building  :whistling:

We normally close the trail entry gate on our way home at about 21h30 after a beer and a pizza at the clubhouse.

If you are still on the trail, no problem, you can exit without a tag or gate code.

Look forward to having you come and ride  :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, and this might sound like a very stupid question. I'm assuming that in order to do this event you must have a light on your bike?

Preferably. But on a clear summer night if you get cracking before 18h00, you can complete a lap.

Otherwise you can ride the green route and finish comfortably in daylight.

The Strava monkeys complete the red route in just under an hour. Us mere mortals take about 75 minutes.

Come along, if only for a short ride and see why you NEED to buy light.

1. Shave your legs

2. Wear a skinsuit

3. Tuck in aero on the straights

4. Take a shortcut (but don't get caught)

5. Hang on to the trees and slingshot around the corners

6. Ride like a Ninja

If the course can stay dry for two days after all this rain, you are in with a shout

GOOD LUCK
