Yeti SB66: Bearings

A little bit of a shot in the dark hey, trying to avoid having to order a new bearing pack from Yeti...

Is there any way of redoing your own bearings, unseal, pop them out, regrease them, put back together, and then hopefully they run smoothly.

Or is my only option to order a new bearing kit?

depends on if the balls are pitted or not, if you turn the bearing by hand does it feel smooth( a little tough to turn is fine) or do they feel like they are filled with sand paper?

i took a trip to bearing man with mine and got away with a full set of replacement bearings for about R700. its still expensive but its cheaper than yeti.

Replace. Once they're shot they're shot, and picking the seals out will damage them to the point that they don't seal anymore.

Get your LBS to order Enduro MAX from Rush if the OEM kits are extortionate.

Just don't buy from Bearing Man or similar - you need full complement bearings for suspension pivots and BMG don't know what those are.
