Got quite a shock when I saw what looked like an 11 year old in my start group yesterday - in 1J, I then realised that she was on a tandem, only strange thing was, she had already done 15 tours acording to her race number?

she must have been watching dad with his bikes

ha ha, yeah she will inspect my bike after I washed them, if it is not good enough I must start again. This all at the age of 2.5 years

We rode with him all the way and just took it easy.There were a number of youngsters riding if I remember correctly

I went into high school at 12....

To answer your question properly. Short, flat & easy course, chaotic, no timing, not a race.

 

I don't think many 12 year olds that are serious about their cycling would bother with this. But for a normal kid just having a bit of fun & being part of the Argus vibe it is a lekker outing
