Merida Ninety six 800 or Sprada 2

So im looking at buying my first Full Suspension bike and im stuck on this 2 so far.

My budget is 30k and this is a little over so all suggestions are welcome.

 

I first bike was a 2015 Sola 4 and loved it. I will mainly be riding the Tygerberg MTB routes with some events.

 

Both my option are on 2016 models.

 

What are your experience and views?

Do yourself a favour and go and demo a Giant Anthem for a bit more XC type of riding, and then a Spez Camber for mid-travel more trail-like geometry. I bought an alloy Camber Comp for R34k recently and it's phenomenal. You also can't go wrong with an Anthem.

To awnser the question you actually asked , Go for the sprada if you don't find something else that's more to your liking .

Silver back are very reliable and great value for money

What did you decide on? I am on the Merida Ninety Six 800 and really enjoying it, big improvement over the big ninety nine in my opinion!
