Raleigh team carbon 44cm

Hi all, im looking to buy a bike for my 11yr old son. I can get a 44cm raleigh team full carbon with full 105 components for R8k. Its in absolute immaculate condition. Is this worth the price?

What a priviledge to own such a great bike at such a young age!!!

 

He will need to run restricted gears if he is going to compete in his age group and you will need to change the gears when he moves on to u14. Building these casettes becomes cumbersome if it is 11 speed because you end up either having the last few cogs the same or blocking a gear or even two. But it can be done. From my experience 9 speed is more ideal. most youngsters run 8 or 9 speed.

Why have you not bought that bike yet?

VERY under rated bikes those. At R8000.00 it is a bargain.
