JXV Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 isn't it more a case of online retailers usually selling OEM parts and the local bike shop is stuck selling legit aftermarket components sourced from a middleman......Every middleman takes some meat off the bone. JXV Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I like to support my LBS because I have an interest in having their service available to me but I don't want to wait longer or pay a huge penalty for my loyalty when I want to buy something. On the other hand though....most of us here on the Hub have quite exotic tastes in bike parts but we are a small portion of the cycling population so you can see why every little LBS might find it difficult to stock a wide range of high end parts that move slowly and go out of date regularly.
