Could solve some of the eternal debates about what is a fair price for second hand kit....

my year bike (entry level hybrid) with the same specs and frame as per the Blue Book are valued at 5 times the price I bought it for in 2012.

 

Think the writers/ information compilers might be a bit off with their prices.

I'd say 80% of the second hand bikes in the US are more expensive than the equivalent in SA. When I first got here, I thought everyone must be smoking something.
