Markellis Posted April 16, 2016 Share Recently got a new spez camber that requires 142+ Hubs Wanting to build another set of wheels and wanted to use a set of Hope 142 hubs. Anybody know of any adapter kits available to run 142 hubs as 142+? I can only find old info on uncle Google about his Thanks
David Marshall Posted April 17, 2016 Share As far as I know only Specialized supply 142+ hubs. You can run a standard 142 hub on a Specialized frame but not a 142+ hub on another make of frame. All they have done on the 142+ is move the right flange and cassette 2 mm to the right. The axle remains the same so there is no way to "adapt" a 142 to a 142+. If you use a 142 hub on a Specialized frame your chain line will not be optimal.
Cat2forLife Posted April 17, 2016 Share The Hope hub will fit in the frame. The 142+ donates to the size of the actual hub shell, not the spacing between the stays.
