RyanPMB is the local on-one guy. same suppliers, thus support should be no issue.

 

The exchange rate may hurt you at the moment. But if you are looking at the 50%off clearance items, I don't think you can go wrong. I dealt with both on-one and planet x when ordering my on-one frame directly, and they are a very efficient, customer-focused company.

 

Cant speak for the planet X brand, as i have no experience but the brand has been around for a long time internationally. Planet X has even sponsored some Tri or track riders (cant remember which) in the past.

When I looked at Planet X for a track bike a year ago was no local support. So good if that has changed. Also, Planet X in UK would not ship to SA. So that was an issue. Dunno if that has changed. As mentioned exchange rate a big issue now. There are some local guys doing track bikes. 1 is same as Planet X. May be cheaper than importing, unless you are getting a huge bargain on a sale.

 

But good bikes , and I would have bought one if I could have got it shipped at the time.

Send shaune (KZN) a PM. He has a carbon Planet X. The build quality was great from my personal inspection a few months ago when the bike arrived in SA. Shaune rode the bike in PE SA Champs and won a medal so it must have been the bike. Hahaha
