Brambilla has just popped out the back of a small select group that has the favourites.

Bob Jungels is still in that group and not looking too bad at this stage.

Of the original group that was in the break, just 3 riders remain out front....

... 2 Bardiani riders and Cunego.

They're sprinting for the KOM points and Cunego takes the points. He'll be back in blue tonight.

The small group of favourites are all over the top of the 2nd last climb and heading down to the valley. they are 2:30 behind the 3 leaders.

Amador has now attacked the favourites group on the descent. Interesting tactics from Movistar.

Young Jungels is having a stormer today - he's still in the mix.

One of the Bardiani riders - the small 21 year old Giulio Ciccone - is away by himself as he flies down the mountain.

He's about to reach the base of the final climb, 8 km to the finish line.

Well well, Brambilla rode out of his socks and managed to get back to the favourites again just as they're about to reach the bottom.

Amador is still hammering through the tight little streets in the village at the base of the final climb, trying to open as much time as possible.

Not sure how much of a gap he's got to the favourites, but the gap between Ciccone and the big names is down to 2:00.

Brambilla went straight to the front of the select group and is now setting the pace. He might be riding for Jungels right now.

There are still a few riders from the original group still scattered about between Ciccone and the favourites, but they'll be expected to be mopped up one by one as the big names come through.

Brambilla's big worry will be Amador who is using up every bit of road as he charges down the descent. We don't have a time gap but it looks like it should be at least 20 seconds.

4 km to go for the lighty and the gap dops below 2:00 for the first time.

He's not even bothering with a poker face anymore - the pain is etched all across his face.
