Recommend MTB Trails for young kids

Hi,

 

I'm looking for some recommendations for some MTB bike trails/routes in the Gauteng area where one can take ones kids to to. My boys are aged 7 and 8 so I'm looking for a place which will be suitable for there age.

Rietvlei : yellow and short cuts of the forest section . Brilliant for kids as very family orientated . My 8yr old daughter has grown in confidence since riding there.

Your best bet is to start easy - the green routes at the Bike Park or the pink and green routes at Northern Farms. Once you can ascertain their current level of comfort you can graduate to many of the places mentioned above.

 

BTW, age has little to do it with it; it's familiarity on the bike. My 8 yo is a far more confident rider than my 13 yo, basically because she spends four times more time on her MTB than her older sister.
