Apple watch stops recording

It has now happened once too many times with me. Before I declare this Apple Watch a big piece of €£¥%#, hopefully someone can help me.

I mainly do cycling and all of my gadgets are geared towards that. But I wanted to start doing Trail Runs as well, and thought the Apple Watch will be nice for that. It works whilst running and I like that it pulses every 1km, and also likes the stats afterwards. When it comes to cycling, I do however have a problem. Ar random, the watch stops recording. I can not check it all the time to make sure it stll records, as once you start riding it goes to the watch screen. To see the cycling screen you have to swipe over the screen and for that you need both hands - which I rather prefer to leave on the handle bars. At the end of the ride, the watch has either never started, or like this morning stopped recording after 4 minutes! This has happened a few times, and in between it works fine.

It's not a major thing as I record the ride with my Garmin anyway - but it should work properly or its crap!

Anyone experience similar problems? Need new software? Give it to my wife and get the new Garmin Multisports Watch?....not launched by the way...

Never had that problem with recording rides. I use strava though

Is the strap tight enough on your wrist?

 

A similar thing happened with the wife's watch, which was resolved once the strap was tightened one notch tighter than normal.

I do not use the apple watch, but it should be similar to android?

Had some issues a wile ago, but only because i did not use the newest available update.

Some feedback - followed advice and tightened the strap - one notch.

It works perfectly now - thanks!
