Dont have other racing wheels so in a bit of a panic!! Not that clued up on wheels - anyone know what the best climbing wheel is that is light. My FSA wheels that came with the bike are heavy!! Contaminated Haggis Posted May 9, 2008 Share The Easton Ascent II's are excellent climbing wheels if you can get hold of a pair. I have a set as my race wheels and I love em to bits. They weigh around the 1.4kg mark but I think they have been superceded by the slightly heavier EA90's. You can pick a pair of the newer rims up for about R6K depending on where you shop.
