So after receiving an email response from the online retailer, apologizing for getting the supplier wrong, etc. I still had to send it down to them, and they would send it to CCS, at my expense.

Luckily I manage to contact CCS via their Facebook page, and arranged with Warren that I could drop the wheel at Summit Cycles in Midrand.

Anton from Summit called earlier, everything inside looks intact (pawls, cam plate, actuating spring, freehub body) only problem was grease that looked black, and moisture inside rear hub. The inner seal also was not pushed fully into the groove. Cleaned up, lubed up, and re-assembled, and he is happy with the wheel.

Even if I have to pay for this service of the hub (how I classify it), it is better than having my a## reamed by an online supplier, who doesn't even have the gumption to talk you through a minor inspection/clean/re-lube.

Be wary of how re-sellers interpret, and apply, their suppliers warranty policies.

Thanks to Warren, Enzo for following up, and you all for your advice. Roll on JUMA baby!!!!

The Sheriff knows his way around wheels, if he says it will be fine then that is exactly what it will be.
