F£#k all the rest, you are relatively unscaghed and can lead a normal life. Many others haven't been that lucky! I hope your legal guys can put this ******** put of circulation for a long time, and that his company gives him a good working over in s disciplinary action

I'm pretty sure use of company property to commit an act of grievous bodily harm would be grounds for immediate dismissal.

Quick update.

 

Letter of demand for cost of damages was sent to the company concerned today, who have respended that the matter has been passed over to there insurance, something like this should be covered by there public liability id think?

 

The criminal case is on track, the detective has been interviewing witnesses this week...

Thanks for the update.  Cycling safety needs a conviction and an appropriate sentence with it.

I must say, this company seems to be well above board and working hard to assist the OP. Name and shame should not occur. Once the case is over, perhaps naming the individual and offering kudos to the company would be a more effective course of action. IMHO

I have a friend I could ask re public liability in such instances but I would certainly think that they would be more than happy to pay you out.

 

Good luck with the case and hope you recover from your injuries soon!

 

Edit: My friend, who runs a one man airport transfer and documents transfer business, says they should definitely pay out from their public liability cover.
