TBH I haven't really seen that before in a sprint. So I checked the results to see who the culprit might be. I see Tiesj Benoot was the 2nd Lotto Soudal guy in after Jurgen Roelandts who came 5th (Benoot was 24th). Now we know how strong Tiesj is - he's more than capable of holding his spot in the line. So my next thought... was that a tactic by Benoot to let them go in order to allow Roelandts a better chance among a very small front group by blocking anyone else from coming through? If so, a very sneaky ploy.

Was strange to watch cause all of a sudden there was a split and no reason for there to be one.[emoji23] [emoji23] until you pointed it out.

Fabain's watts were over 1400 at the intermediate sprint.
