Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 22km to go. Gap at 22 secs. Astana have some big guys at the front doing huge work.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Unless someone has the strength to go off the front of the break before they're caught, its going to be a done deal in a minute or two.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 breakaway caught. Peloton swung off the main road onto a climb and one of the Astana riders almost stopped dead. Work done for today I guess.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 IAM - Devenyns attacks off the front with 16.5 km to go.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Gap at 41 secs. A couple of riders trying to bridge the gap but Spanish tv sees fit to keep it a secret who they are ;-)
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Ok things have calmed down but the pace is mental. Leader still has 31 secs with 12.6km to go. Riders are spread out all down the road.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Splinter groups all over the place but the big three are together again as far as I can see.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 The commentators are struggling. Little road coverage because of trees so it's "muy complicado" trying to work out what's going on!
EmptyB Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 TdF will always be my favourite, its the race that first got me interested in road cycling and its like an old comfy armchair, it just feels right.I battle to watch some of the other tours due to not seeing the usual riders doing their usual things.Does any of that make sense?I hear you and it does make sense. There is definitely something special about TDF...
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 4.5 km to go - gap at 30 secs for single leader.
Bonus Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Attacks off the front of the group. With 2 km to go Simon Yates buries himself to jump the gap which is only seconds now.
