Full face or Trail helmet?

I do have a older Fox trail helmet that has lived in closet for a couple of years.

Is a full face rather recommended and which are the more affordable types?

Then goggles or glasses?

I have both, have tried the full face for an enduro and almost frikken died on the way up. while its good for the descents( a full face will always out perform a Trail helmet for descents and protection) its a little overkill for enduro, as proper enduro rules state you need to ride up and get timed down you are mandated to technically wear the helmet any time the peddles are in use( as far as i have been told, i may however be wrong in this regard) a perfect compromise is something like the Bell Super R2 with a removable chin bar, i have recently bought one but am yet to try it for an actual enduro race. personally i prefer googles with my full face and glasses with the trail helmet.

Goggles all round, convertible lid for the whole thing otherwise a half shell for the way up and full face for the way down. Or half shell all the time, depends how you want to do it.

Prefer goggles myself. Less chance of an errant bit of dirt getting behind the lens and into your eyes. And yes, that had happened to me
