Mongoose Boot'r vs. Morewood Makulu ?

I want to start getting into downhill racing and was wondering which one of the two were better? I saw a few adds with these two bikes and was wondering if they are any good... i checked reviews online  but don't know if they are just biased. if you have any other options for a beginner with a tight budget please feel free to give your input.
