The Freedom Ride is a social cycle ride celebrating the spirit and legacy of Nelson Mandela, designed to link communities and override social barriers. The route will be taking riders through some of the historical sites in Johannesburg like Ghandi's Satygraha House and the Constitutional Court. Backed by the City of Johannesburg, the ride aims to bring people back into the city and raise awareness about bicycles as a form of transport and recreation.

The ride will start at 10:00. Participants should be in position at Sacred Heart College by 09:45. Parking is available.

 

This is a free ride, but we encourage you to make a donation to support the Three2Six programme at Sacred Heart.

Riders must be registered and a helmet is compulsory. Please carry identification with you. We will have JMPD in attendance with medical support and a sweeper vehicle.
