New GPS head unit

Hi Hubbers,

I need advice. It seems my GPS unit has failed me (bryton rider 30). It looks like it is dropping data, which in turn is causing TrainingPeaks to not display a Normalized Power, this only happens when I ride outdoors, IDT sessions display data fine when I upload it.

So unless anyone has advice on my issue, I'm shopping around for a new unit.

The Garmin's are nice, but a bit too pricey.

Does anybody have any experience with bryton and their new products?

Decent price, and gets seemingly good reviews from overseas.

I have a power meter, and data gets uploaded to trainingpeaks. I don't use strava so the compatibilty problems don't really matter to me.

Thanks

I have a Sigma Rox 10 which id pretty useful and will link to most meters, For some reason they are not popular, so you can pick them up cheap..

Got the new 530 and for the R2K it cost me in the UK it's a beauty. Pairs with my PM and works great. Some one was selling a new one in the classifieds for R2400, CWC had then on special for R2800.

Doesn't have the open maps feature but honestly I've had that and never once used it. Now I want something smaller, clear and with customisable displays and this does the job 100%.

Edit: https://www.bryton.co.za has a old GPS trade in which gives you R700 off and you can get a 530 directly from them for R1999.
