Im looking at advice on what to get as a beginner do i get something cheap to start (2-5k) or do i get something proper 10-15k. Im not going to be doimg anything serious for atleast 6 months i jist want to start getting fit again. At the moment i have 30min perday during week and then i can do 1-2 hrs on weekend. I don't know if I'm going to do it seriously due to time constraints. Im also looking at putting a child carrier on. If i get a cheap one i will pass it on to my wife( to use as a holiday bike) she wont to anything more than recreational riding. I have looked at the axiz a90 26" vbrake, specialozed carve 29". Im also short 166cm and weigh 62kg. Male. My legs are short and upper body is average. I dont want to waste money. If i go more than 5k i will have to finance. Any recommendations on make and model. scotty Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 You also need to include a helmet in your budget, as well as essential spares such as tubes and tire levers. A decent pair of padded shorts will ease your re-introduction.

Try and borrow a bike somewhere - any bike - get down to riding it and if you like it and disciplined enough then buy a bike. Many bikes out there gathering dust. A bike of about R2 000 is not going to offer you much though
