Pedestrians are often so wrapped up in their own musical world they don't even hear bike bells and shouted warnings. I used to cycle with music years ago. Now I would not dare. Nothing like hearing that City Tour bus approaching from behind... 2 weeks ago a jogger wearing headphones was 'checking' me out to see it i would stop at a stop street and give here way... which i did... but almost got run over but the car travelling in the opposite direction as the stepped in front of them. she got a moerse fright!
