I have a BB30 crank on my current bike, 104/64 BCD with removable spider so I "could" fit a direct mount chainring if I wanted to go 1x11.

I also have a 2 x10 Quark MTB power crank that I wanted to use.

But the Quark is 80/120 BCD and GXP

After spending some time searching the web I found a chainring that could work and ordered it.

80 BCD  OVAL (Going 1x11 I need this)

Now what will the chianline be like? Measured the old crank on the bike to see where the center is between the current chainings. Noticed that the new chainring should run at 39.7 mm if measured from a certain point on the bike.

My new 80 BCD chainring arrived, and after fitting it, using a little washer under it to get the chain line correct I could managed to fit it to the Quark. Now my Quark GXP was ready for 1 x 11

I know one can get a converter to run GXP in BB30, but I took the Quark off the crank and fitted to the BB30. If fits 100% and the chain line it perfect......Maybe .2mm towards the frame side.

Now I have a 1x11 Quark crank on a BB30 :-)

Below are pics

I put some tape over the old bolt holes :-)
