splat Posted October 5, 2006 Share Even if they are a bit extraterrestrial? Just kidding. That was quite a performance. I see Basso will be back to racing soon. Ulrich may not be so lucky...
widget Posted October 5, 2006 Share Hey, Hey,my favourite Italian cyclist on the top step. Thats just great, Gibbo is really a class act no matter what anyone says. Lets see Basso get these results - actually lets see Basso win half the races Gibbo has in his wonderfull career.
rock Posted October 5, 2006 Share I've always liked him, then got a bit irritatd with him with his feud with Cunego and then his commnets etc. But racing some MTB races and winning for that matter.....well, he's right up there with my faves. we've seen a few mtbers cross over to road, keen to see some aging roadies "retire" to some mtb'ing. I would wager they see it the same and have a chuckle about it every now and then. ................but yes, I would like to see him continue his career in M/biking - he may be getting a bit long in the tooth for the grand tours now, but he still has a lot of experience and strength in those legs. Great result.!!
