Shimano 15T causing all the problems

Impossible unless you are running something like a single cog wide base Ss 15t...

or if you had side pins that interlocked as you tightened the lock ring, it has a NM torque setting which you should not exceed

best solution for this is to tighten the hell out out of the cassette locknut

Yes clamping the cassette stack tighter will distribute some of the torque (and wear) to adjacent cogs.

If you exceed locknut torque you can rip the end off the soft alloy freebody or damage the shoulders at the base of the splines on the freebody....or both. Max locknut torque range for Shimano is 25 to 50Nm but the 50Nm end is likely for use with steel freebodies.

For aftermarket hubs the max. allowable torque may differ.

I think it is still cheaper to replace freebody hubs every six months that try and keep Campy running :whistling:

As a Campy 'user' :) the wear on these components is minimal. I replaced my 11sp chain and cluster after 3+ years when the original started feeling a little sloppy. Asked the lbs about new Record chainrings at the time - turns out they don't keep stock because they never sell any. The rings are super expensive, but take for(n)ever to wear out.

You'll never look back..

well in an abstract way you are right.

This is a shimano freehub, Shimano do not make alloy freehubs on any of its wheels, its either steel or titanium as per their Dura Ace range, so when assesory companies make alloy freehubs to bring the weight of the wheels down{lets face it we buy according to weight} this problem arises, if you stick to pure shimano like you would Campy the problems does not exisit
