I tend to agree with you here. Flying down to the shebbi on my hardtail was a wild ride. But, I have an all out or not at policy with these descents. There's only two descents here. May as well white knuckle it.

My goolies are so small that I inch my way down which may account for it

 

I will not ride it at speed so stay away from anything that may tempt me to do so..l????????
