Commuting on tubeless - avoiding cuts in tyres

I commute on my MTB and my gravelgrinder/CX bike. Both have tubeless tyres set up, MTB has 2.1 inch Geax/Vitorria AKA, CX bike has 700x40c WTB Nano TCS. My commute is a mix of trail and road - half and half and is about 14km each way.

The tubeless has been great and in general punctures haven't stopped me. But there is a lot of broken glass on my commute - particularly on the road sections - small pieces of windscreen and bottles. I've found that I keep getting knicks in my rear tyre that don't seal up nicely - resulting in annoying slow leaks. I use Stan's sealant and I am certain that there's a decent volume of sealant in the tyre - but I've still ended up plugging the rear tyres a few times. Is there anything else I can do, short of avoiding roads or selecting different tyres to reduce the number of cuts I get on my rear tyre?

I commute with a mountain king 2.2 on the rear - quite a chunky tire. My commute is about 15 on tar one way. I've had one incident where I had to plug, and it was a piece of metal that cut a biggish gash. So yeah, a bigger chunkier tire than an AKA will offer better protection.

I get about 5-6000km on a mountain king, it's a great commuter tire. The extra rolling resistance is not noticable to me, after a few years of riding with chunky tires exclusively.

A different sealant perhaps?

I'm partial to Slime Pro, although I haven't tested how well it works with bigger punctures.

Throwing in some glitter (or maybe even bigger particles) might help with the sealing process.

I glue up small cuts in tires from the outside with superglue - after taking glass out - just drop the pressure in the tire and add a drop of glue and hold the cut closed for a few seconds.
