Sram Quarq Power Meter

Hello

 

I have an SRAM Quarq power meter crankset fitted to my Trek TT bike. It needs a service. Problem I have is the power meter works for the first few minutes then stops working for the rest of the ride. I have replaced batteries but this has not helped. 

 

My crank also has an annoying ticking sound with every peddle stroke.

 

I am located in Gauteng, Fourways area. Can anybody suggest where I could get this looked at please?

Check and replace the battery with a decent brand name.  Had the same with mine (work a while and then nada) and replacing the battery helped.

 

Check for the magnet that is used to measure the cadence.  Might be touching something.

Also try and update the firmware of the crank.

Thanks for the replies. Did not think about the magnet. Will check that!

 

Regarding the firmware, I think mine is too old (2011) to support a firmware update, but will find out.
