Transporter Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 How do one determine the sale price of used frames/bikes. At present a 2015 frame is advertised used at R 18 000 while a bike shop advertises the same model 2016 frame new for R 16 000 with guarentee. Used frame no gaurentee. Should the used frame not sell for more or less R 10 000? It appears as if these items stay in classifieds for a long time.

AlanD Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 The price advertised is never the actual price as bargaining takes place. Pe3nguin said it really well. An older frame may be in demand by certain buyers and willing to pay a premium for it. Also cash offers are very tempting to a seller.
