I think we will see a totally new Epic in 2009.  Any idea on what it will be?  I think we will see the shock being moved to under the top-tube, which will allow shorter chainstay.  Bottom-bracket probably BB30 with Specialized carbon crank.  Specialized Brain inertia valve type fork, with large steerer tube, stepping down.  They will probably get top-of-the range full bike in at around 10kg.  Will be nice to do the Epic on.

either way it 'looks' the suspension design will be along the lines of the stumpjumper fsr.........which isn't a bad thing.

watch out for your nuts!!

thats not really it btw.......

Knew it....no way they'd go back to Fox after kicking them in the nuts last year.

Can't see the design changing much. And if they wanted the chainstays shorter surely it can be done with the current design....there's plenty of space.

As for weight....I've been told Sauser's FS racebike weighs in at 9.2 or 9.4kg if I remember correctly...?

I heard sometime last year that they are doing away with the Brain shock. We'll have to wait & see.

Hopefully they will not go with the current Stumpy / Enduro layout, we need some differenciation within in different models. And also, the previous Stumpy design was better looking.
