what's the take on the edge 705 ??

Only saw a mate's one this weekend. Excellent tool, especially with power, but expensive once you have added the power meter on.

But.... I think Polar has some catch op work to do

any idea how the power meter works ??  where is it connected ?

The power reading comes from a wireless device like Powertap. The navigation feature is grate fun. i still battle to use the training program but so far this is the best fun I had this year. I can recommend it.

Google powertap. The wireless unit was R10500 when i bought it last year.

power meter is "attached" using ant technology same as wat suunto uses for thier hrm function works similar to bluetooth just on a lower frequency also power tap and srm do sell the wireless units on thier own you just have to place special orders also that 705 is the ultimate in navigation ............................ i want i want i want
