Cost to build a road bike? JHB

Hi hubbers,

 

Picked up a MTB towards the end of last year and i'm absolutely hooked. Went for a 70km ride around the cradle a few weekends ago and decided a road bike is also necessary

 

I picked up a 'like new' in store demo bike (2015 Specialized Roubaix) from UK (eBay) for a good price. She's on her way currently and already cleared customs etc.

 

Where would be the best place to get it built? I'm in JHB northern suburbs. What cost and time is involved?

If it was a demo, why did they not just take the wheels off, take the pedals off, turn the bars and boxed it in a bike box?

Ping Wheelbuilder/Divernick here on the hub - he will be reasonable if you are not in a hurry - and he is close to you.

 

Edit - and for a small fee he will teach you how too....
