Big shout out to Lyne Components excellent customer service

I bought a Lyne Contour 120mm dropper last year October, and had to take a the 30.9 version with a brass shim, which was tight AF when installed. The dropper performed flawlessly over the next 4 months until there was noticable wear on the shaft and I contacted Derry at Lyne Components.

 

After some back and forth and photos of the damage, and chatting to Dale as well and letting them know that I was doing races at the CTCT MTB on both Saturday and Sunday - Dale drove out to my house, with a brand new v2 120mm dropper in the correct 31.6mm sizing for my frame.

 

Even though I think it was the tight fit that actually caused the issue of premature wear, Lyne went above and beyond and made sure that I had a working dropper for my events, and had no issues in replacing the dropper without question.

 

I just want to say thank you to Derry and Dale and feel that Lyne has done some incredible customer service that I've not experienced from cycling industry in a while.

Have similar positive experience with Lyne. My XL dropper was replaced without hesitation after was not holding pressure (the XL is the only dropper with this feature). The replacement has been working flawlessly and Derry called himself to check!

Nothing but love for Lyne. Good service and decent people who value their customers and back their product.

 

On the side, it's sad that such a basic element of any business gets such praise as extraordinary in SA. I'm constantly astounded by the way that so many businesses here seem to just want to walk away from a customer once they have the money. Good service should not only be a given but should be valued as an integral part of your business. It's easier to sell to a customer you have a relationship with and who likes you than go and find a new one. Also if a customer has a great experience they are going to recommend you... so simple yet so hard.

I must concur with the service. I placed a query on the website which was answered within half an hour, and the website changed so I could order. Order placed and now eagerly awaiting delivery!

 

I know what my next dropper will be if this is what I can expect
