  1. Still available?
  2. For the record JXV, have used a shim supplied by Lyne on my tallboy 3. This enabled the use of the Lyne 30.9mm diameter dropper post (150mm travel, internal routing) in my 31.6mm seatpost.
  3. I don't see any mention of tyre pressure? Whether one uses Arch or Flow rims, if your tyre pressure is too low for your body weight and speed flying down a rocky descent, then your rim will be dented. Particularly the rear wheel.
  4. MTB 40 km monster was great! congratulations to the organisers
  5. Yes, since Garmin Express installed, I can no longer upload from Edge500 into Strava. Clicking on the Strava upload and Garmin prompts for the installation of Garmin communicator repeatedly. So I now upload into Strava via a file from Edge 500. This only since Garmin express installed.
  6. SAPS have been in contact with all parties. Statements have been made and charge laid. It is probaby best not to undermine the process by posting detail at this stage.
  7. The Kharmann Ghia is no longer parked in Kloof Rd. The SAPS detective involved has been making progress.
  8. Thanks Gerlach. Any info will help. There is a case open with SAPS
  9. Thanks peevee. see pics - reg is CW43511, not CA.
  10. The cyclist is ok. lots of bruises on body and face, 6 stitches under chin. He was freewheeling down kloof road towards sea point... at about 06:20 am. A Kharmann Ghia was driving up in opposite direction. The driver did a sudden right turn. Cyclist had no chance to avoid. Cyclist was still conscious and driver got out to check... cyclist smelt alcohol and mentioned he was going to call police... Driver abandoned car and fled scene. Another cyclist was first on scene... she was a doctor and helped.. along with another cyclist who kindly phoned ambulance assistance. Bike destroyed.
  11. Looking for 2 Argus cycle tour entries - will substitute
  12. Hi Mackem, have had similar problem with my Edge 500 where the blue rubber cover for the USB port "fell off" and after a while, the damp eventually got in and corroded the connections. Thereafter was not able to access data off the Edge. My Edge was less than 1 year old, so was replaced under warranty. The tech at Garmin tried to get data off for me but not successful. You could try and check that all USB points on male and female side of USB are ok - maybe there is an obvious misalignment. Also try and change USB cable, in case the cable is the problem.
  13. Berg and Bush track is "proper mountain biking" and leaves both w2w and sani2c in the dust...
  14. get a power pack http://www.kalahari.com/Technology/QYG-QP5000-Portable-Power-Pack-Charger-for-iPhone-Smartphones-Black_p_47283665
  15. KCNC make a 11-38T MTB cassette.... but at a cost. Will be cheaper if you can get a replacement front 22T chainring to replace the 24T?
