Titan vs Merida to buy

Hi Gents,

 

Need to get back into the swing of things and looked at a few options to suit the budget.

 

 

Want to buy new so the 2 options on the table is 2017 Merida Big Nine 40 29" XL frame or 2017 Titan Trail 29" XL.

 

I understand both are Merida technically en the only difference (as per store assistant) is Air shock on Titan and 27 speed on Merida.

 

What are your thoughts.

Try to get a mind shift and re look at the second hand market as well.

If those are your choices, take the better air shock option... the other parts you can upgrade as they wear out

My BIL also tries to push me towards the second hand market, main reason why I joined BH.

 

But don't you just love the seat of a new one
