uhm ja ....

right  ?

wrong ?

"obeying the law" ?

does it make ANY difference ??

NO !!!!! only ONE thing matters out there - ride to stay alive .....

there are idiot cyclists ... o00h the shock and horror ...

there are equally idiotic vehicle drivers .....

my ONLY "gripe" is with the select few idiotic cyclists that p!ss off vehicle drivers ... thereby putting my life in further danger.

as for the rest, stick to the rules, AND add a BIG dose of common sense !!

stay alive out there !!!!!

if in doubt .... ask FrailK if the pain and suffering is any better just because he was innocent.  I KNOW that my months in hospital, and two operations were no "nicer" just because I was innocent .....

Hello Guys and Gals

If I can try reply to ChrisH's post.

Having nightmares, seeing the accident happen in your mind.

Thinking I was "OK", as I saw no blood, I tried to stand up. My leg just buckled when I tried to stand, made me collapse back to the ground.

After all the years of cycling that I have done.

Turning the clock back to the 70's, I was barely in school.  My nephew was 13 years old, cycled to the cafe to go buy milk for his mom.  Truck driver skipped a stop sign and he was dead on the scene ....  YES, the truck driver appologised, and we believe it was an accident not reckless driving .... but none of that brought my nephew back.

I was 17 years old, almost 18, when I was taken out by a student test driving a car .... I knew immediately I had a femer fracture.  Off to hospital, back then they loved "tracktion" - those weights and pulleys .... had one of those post-accident nightmares and climbed off the bed ... except my leg was still ropped to the bed ..... ouch !!  Pulled the "bones" appart and got tissue between the bones, thus they had to operate and put in a steel plate.

Few years later my sisters fiance got knocked off his motorcycle, got up ... just to be killed by a truck he had fallen in front of.  :(

few more buriels over the years ....

being "innocent" made no difference, broken bones HURT ..... if you survive to feel the pain

PLEASE, please be safe out there !
