ASG Emperors 50km MTB

The Emperors long MTB event was marketed and sold as a 50 km event. The actual distance however was only 42 km. I am suspicious that ASG in the interest of financial gain intentionally misled the public; knowing full well that had it been marketed as a 42km event it may have had an adverse effect on the number of entries. The event is very well organised therefore I don't believe it was a mistake.

I mentioned this in another thread but I was also surprised. I even thought I had unintentionally missed a part of the route until I spoke to a few other finishers.

The USN race at Red barn was 46km. I was going hard so thought it was close enough to 50, even though that's almost 10% less. However, 8km less is almost 20%. Falls in the range of "not even close". I would expect better from ASG.
