Running 10 Speed Chainrings on 11 speed Group

HI All,

 

I have looked around to see if this is possible and many sites say so, as long as you are running 11 speed cranks (spacing issues) for the shifting on the fornt.

 

Has anyone tried it or had any feedback?

 

I am running 11 Speed Ultegra mechanical with a Praxis 11 Speed Front compact crank 110 BCD 5 bolt. I want to put on some 10 speed Oval rings I can get

 

My question is wrt the difference in spacing between 10 and 11 speed in terms of chain. I will run 11 speed everywhere else i.e. cluster, RD and FD and shifters all 11 speed.

 

Will it work - any issues 

 

This is for road BTW.

I tried and it didn't work. The chainring is too fat. Or you could say the chain is too narrow
