Anyone know the specs on the latest ryder sealant

I just wanted to know if this stuff is latex based with ammonia. Wanting to move a away from ammonia products on my new tubeless rims.

Any info will be appreciated thank-you.

There must be a chemically-literate hubber lurking to help us ?

My understanding is that the ammonia (alkaline) is required to keep the latex in solution/suspension, which is why the acidity of the C02 in bombs causes boogers to form, affecting the effectiveness of Stans.

If that is the case, they may be using some other ingredient to keep the latex in suspension/solution.

Unless of course you can find those bombs that are "full of air and available at all good bike shops" ;) #tyrenurse

Sealant formula aside, I was always under the impression that a bomb was a temporary solution to pumping up your tyre while out on a ride and that you should deflate when back home and pump with air! This is to prevent the C02 from reacting with ammonia or whatever else is in the mix....

BTW ryder and fugit are the same thing. While the fine bits of rubber aid with the sealing of holes, the sealant itself is not as good as Stan's. Best I have used is Tyre Shield but it is pricey.... although I do believe they have now made a plan to bring the prices down a little to make it more affordable!

Correct, but by the time you get home, the "damage" has been done and you "should" really replace the sealant.

That's why I am interested to hear how they keep the latex component in solution/suspension.

Ok guys so the agent got back to me and they have confirmed that there is no ammonia in their sealant so now it's just a matter of putting it in my wheels and Bingo Its go and give it a test and see how the stuff really works cool guys thanks for the input on your side.

Cool. Please give us your opinion after testing it. BTW, is it much cheaper than Stans?

Yes allot...+/-R90 for a 250ml bottle.

I found it took about a week to dry when I removed tyres while Stans and Tyre Shield would dry in a day. The Ryder/Fugit would feel like thin paper and I needed to scrub the tyre to remove it while the other brands dried to a rubber like solid that could just be peeled off.

Looking forward to your thoughts, findings and feedback fast1  ;)
