I think it has been cancelled in the meantime. It was heavy & expensive, and  the new 2009 DuraAce aluminium cranks outperformed it.

Seems as if Shimano may have changed their minds again? News from today.

Perhaps they decided to re-design it?

 

The ones shown at Eurobike in 2007 weighed 800 grams - heavier than the current aluminium crank, and prices were high, rumoured to be around R9k. For that price, the Zipp VumaQuad was 250 grams lighter...

Nonsense, it was never cancelled.

 

They delayed the launch till after 2009 DA was announced. This chainset will be on offer as supplementary to the 2009 Alloy DA chainset for people who want a Carbon Chainset. Where there is a  market...
