Yeti SB95C & Monarch Plus RC3

Hi Guys

 

I have a Yeti SB95C and i want to replace my rare shock to a Monarch Plus RC3 will this work? it currently has a Fox CTD Adjust rare shock.

 

which option should i go with? Also available in 195x46mm, 195x51mm, 216x57mm, 216x63mm with Specialized mount, 210x60mm with Trek mount

Hi. Read your owners manual. Also keep in mind different shocks have different tunes. Some shocks are very rare

Give the importers or one of their dealers a call. They should have all that info handy... as far as I know Yeti doesn't use any funny bits and pieces, so you should be able to do the conversion.

Obviously not 216x63mm with Specialized mount, 210x60mm with Trek mount.

You can download the owners manual. 

According to what I could find: "...uses a 2.0 inch stroke, 7.5 inch eye to eye shock...".

You will need 190x51mm. 

Also, the Monarch Plus has a piggy back, so make sure clearance within the frame won't be an issue.

The tune of the shock which will work is any ones guess. Google is your friend.

I know Yeti work very close with FOX, and some of their frames may even be designed around a certain shock characteristics, FOX make very good rear shocks, I would keep FOX, but if you want to change I would contact the importers of maybe mail Yeti direct and ask them.
