I hope somebody can help me,  bought a Tacx I flow T2220 trainer second hand. We had a power failure and now it seems the cable from the electronic brake to the control panel (similar to a LAN cable) on the handle bar is faulty. I have been informed by the Tacx team South Africa that the trainer is discontinued and there is no longer parts available. This is the blue and white T2220 , 2013 model, not that old. I have been to a few shops trying to buy a cable, a telephone cable only has 4 strips, a satdard LAN cable has 8 strips, this one has 6 strips. Any idea where I can such a cable?

My friend's dog once got hold of his cable. I got the 6 pin connector at Communica and fixed it for him. I used the old cable. If you cut find a 6 core cable you can use an 8 core cable and only connect 6 to the connector.

Can you tell for sure it is the cable after a power failure? Maybe the unit is faulty after the power failure/dip. Get it checked out, get a damage report and try claim under your contents section on your short term policy, if you have electrical and mechanical faliure on the policy......
